Distribution: Relatively common in the Solitary Islands Marine Park. Recorded from Queensland and northern New South Wales, Lord Howe Island.

Ecological Notes: Feeds on sponges, possibly Dysidea sp. Depth to 30 m.

Additional Notes: Black mantle with a broad orange border, there are four thin white longitudinal lines in the black region, the outer pair joining anteriorly in front of the rhinophores and posteriorly behind the gills. The rhinophores and gills are uniformly orange. Grows to 70 mm.
