Common Name: Half and Half Puller
Distribution: Uncommon in the Solitary Islands Marine Park. Distributed throughout the Pacific Ocean, from the Great Barrier Reef and northern New Guinea, to Samoa and the Society Islands. Australia recorded from the Great Barrier Reef in Queensland.
Ecological Notes: Frequents coral rich outer reefs and slopes, usually solitary or small aggregations. Depth to at least 25 m.
Additional Notes: Straight division between white and black above front of anal fin. Dark blotch on pectoral fin base and double rays top and bottom of caudal fin aids identification. Grows to 8 cm.
