Charybdis (Goniosupradens) acutifrons
(de Man, 1879)

Common Name: Spine-fronted Swimming Crab

Distribution: Uncommon in the Solitary Islands Marine Park. Known from Japan and Indonesia. In Australia recorded from south east Queensland and northern New South Wales.

Ecological Notes: Frequents rocky and coral reef habitat, sublittoral zones.

Additional Notes: Blue and yellow legs, claw colouring very distinctive. Grows to 75 mm.
