Distribution: Possibly common in the Solitary Islands Marine Park. Distributed throughout the Indo-Pacific region. In Australia recorded from the Timor Sea and the Great Barrier Reef in Queensland, south to northern New South Wales.
Ecological Notes: Occupies a variety of empty shells and frequents branching corals such as Acropora and Pocillopora.
Additional Notes: A small species, the body is speckled with orange coloured pits, and the dactyls of the second and third pereiopods are orange. The eye stalks are white to pale orange, with a black eye. Carapace length from 3 to 8 mm and total length to around 25 mm.
