Distribution: Uncommon in the Solitary Islands Marine Park. Circum-global distribution throughout warm waters. In Australia recorded from the southern Queensland and northern New South Wales coasts.

Ecological Notes: Frequents rocky reef and adjacent areas of sand and mud. Specimen shown photographed at a depth of 12 m.

Additional Notes: Creamy white in colour, with pale or yellowish rhinophores, each with two distinctive bulges. Usually the rhinophores are circled by a red line, and there is often a dark or red patch on the dorsal surface just behind the rhinophores, neither of which are clearly visible in this photograph. Moves with a characteristic rhythmic movement, grows to around 18 mm.
