Distribution: Uncommon in the Solitary Islands Marine Park. Distributed throughout the Indo-Pacific region. In Australia recorded from south western Western Australia across the tropical north to the Timor Sea, the Coral Sea and Great Barrier Reef in Queensland south to around Sydney on the east coast, and including Lord Howe and Norfolk Islands.

Ecological Notes: Tropical inshore benthic species known from depths to at least 100 m.

Additional Notes: Greenish brown colouration with dark disc and banded arms. Specimen pictured around 200 mm across.
