Common name: Long Green Wrasse
Distribution:

Uncommon in the Solitary Islands Marine Park. Known from the western Pacific region: Japan and New Zealand, also from the Abrolhos Islands to Dampier Archipelago in Western Australia and from northern New South Wales south to Montague Island on the Australian east coast.

Ecological Notes:

Frequents areas of kelp and weed, usually shallow to a depth of maximum 25m.

Additional Notes:

Secretive, usually in small to large aggregations. Juvenile pictured above, adult below. Grows to 15cm.
