Distribution: Uncommon in the Solitary Islands Marine Park. Known from the Indo-Pacific region generally. In Australia recorded from the Great Barrier Reef in Queensland to as far south as Merimbula in southern New South Wales.
Ecological Notes: Frequents coastal rock pools, shallow water areas.
Additional Notes: All the colour is in the shell itself, in some specimens the distinctive pink banding may be faded or absent altogether. This species believed to feed on polychaete worms. Grows to 25 mm in size.
