Distribution: Uncommon in the Solitary Islands Marine Park. In Australia recorded from Shark Bay in Western Australia, across the north of the continent, the Coral Sea and Great Barrier Reef in Queensland, south to northern New South Wales.
Ecological Notes: Found amongst the fronds and cirrhi of host crinoids.
Additional Notes: Colouration variable depending on the colour of the host, but the pattern remains similar, in most cases longitudinal lines down the carapace and chelipeds. The rostrum is long and tapering with a series of tiny spines along each edge. Camouflage colouration makes it difficult to see among the fronds and cirrhi at the base of the crinoid. Grows to 20 mm.
