Distribution: Common in the Solitary Islands Marine Park. Recorded from the Indo-Pacific region, including the Solomon Islands and Japan. In Australia recorded from Queensland and northern New South Wales.

Ecological Notes: Commonly found in the soft coral Xenia spp.

Additional Notes: Small size and cryptic colouration make this species difficult to find and observe. Specimen in photograph around 16 mm.
