The business meetings focus on the running of the club but issues relating to the local habitat and marine environment are also discussed. All SURG members are welcome to participate in these meetings.
SURG will have its first outing for this year on Saturday at 1pm to conduct baited videos along Boambee Creek.
The meeting point will be the boat ramp off Link Road. Access is via Hi Tech Drive.

The speaker for the next SURG social meeting is Elaine Kwee. Elaine, a one time SURG member, has been involved with Sea Communities at Les Village in Bali for several years.
Sea Communities are involved in various activities including coral reef rehabilitation which two SURG members participated for a week last year. 5th December is our Christmas Party at the Harry Weller shelter at Boambee Creek Reserve. The shelter has been booked from 2pm which is a great opportunity to swim or kayak in the creek prior to the party. The evening's festivities usually start at about 5 to 6pm.
SURG will be heading to Boambee Creek (see Google Map location ) @ 10 am this coming Saturday to complete the baited underwater videos for the Estuarine Resilience project. We hope as many of you that can will come along and get involved and join us for a BBQ afterwards.

4th November is set to be a great night with SURG's first Cocktail Party. So get out your best gear, head to the op shop to buy a frock, wear a bow tie or just wear your best thongs! The party will be held at the usual social meeting venue, ie the National Marine Science Centre in Bay Drive, Charlesworth Bay starting at 7pm.
