Distribution:  Common at all islands, headlands and reefs in the SIMP. Ranges throughout the Tropical Indo- Western Pacific region.
Ecological Notes:  Secrete themselves in crevices and caves, under coral slabs for protection during daylight hours.
Additional Notes:  Sometimes found in pairs, prefers shallower water. Feeds on algae and sponges. Grows to 60mm.
