| Distribution: Reasonably common throughout the SIMP. Distributed throughout the Indo-Pacific region. | |||
| Ecological Notes: Often found in small groups nestled in the depressed centre of plate or vase shaped corals. Predates on scleractinian corals. | |||
| Additional Notes: Well camouflaged by algal growth. Characterised by annular grooves on the shell and purple colour of mouth of shell. See PROS 0016-1. | |||
